About Jessie Irvine
Jessie Irvine, an incredibly talented athlete, has swiftly ascended to the top tier of women’s pickleball. Currently ranked in the Top 5 across all three divisions of professional women’s pickleball, she is widely recognized for her passion on the court, impressive athleticism, and her energetic "come on’s!" during critical match moments. In her mixed doubles matches, she teams up with renowned player Jay Devilliers, while her partner for women’s doubles is the equally accomplished Catherine Parenteau.
Before venturing into the world of pickleball, Irvine had a successful career in tennis. Originally from Cary, North Carolina, she began playing tennis at the young age of 10. Her dedication and skill led her to become a top 10 Junior Tennis Player and a former WTA Pro Tennis Player. Additionally, she made her mark in Popular (POP) Tennis, further showcasing her versatility and talent.
In pursuit of her passion for tennis, Irvine relocated to Southern California, where she dedicated almost a decade to coaching junior players. During her time in California, she also attended UCLA and contributed to the media landscape, featuring on the Tennis Channel programs "Court Report" and "One-Minute Clinic."
Irvine’s journey in pickleball began in November 2018, and she transitioned to professional play at the start of 2019. Since then, her competitive spirit and skills have made her a formidable presence in the sport.
Beyond her athletic pursuits, Jessie enjoys a variety of hobbies that enrich her life. She loves spending time with friends, coaching, watching movies, dining out, and staying active through workouts and training. Music and dancing are also close to her heart, as is golf. Ultimately, her zest for life shines through her laughter and good times spent with those she cares about.
